Five Sentence Review: Miike Snow at The Metro, April 4, 2010
I haven't been this pumped to see a show for some time, and Miike Snow did not disappoint, delivering intense synths, pumping bass and a phenomenal stage show.
The band, which played as a six piece, entered the smoke filled stage in purple, satin Members Only style jackets and white, blank Eyes Wide Shut style face masks.
The set featured all of the songs I was hoping to hear, and presented them in a different, more dynamic and more extended fashion than the record.
The band was tight, with keyboard, triggers, percussionists and rhythm players all in sync throughout, bouncing and bobbing to the driving beats.
If you have the chance to catch Miike Snow, take it; this radio friendly, dance heavy ensemble puts on a memorable show and left me wanting more.
