2011 RUN FOREST RUN

Sign up today for the Fifth Annual Run Forest Run Invitational, a unique trail race organized for runners, by runners. The 2011 Run Forest Run will take place Saturday, October 22, 2010, at 9:30 am, hosted by the Homewood Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, located in Homewood on Ridge Road just west of Halsted Ave. 

This is your exclusive opportunity to run the 2011 Run Forest Run, an invitational event with room for only 50 runners. You and the other invitees have been included because of your support and participation in other local running events, ensuring a fast, scenic run, with other dedicated runners. 

This nature preserve has many unique trails and beautiful views for runners who will navigate a rugged yet serene 4-mile course through the trees, lakes, rivers and wildlife present at Izaak Walton. A clearly marked course and marshals will allow runners to focus and enjoy the morning air.

No idea what else to do with this but post it here. I just spent eight minutes on the phone with a photographer who saw one of his images on the wall at one of my clients' locations. He was calling to discuss the buyout rights for the photo, with the end goal of receiving a sum of money for use of the photo which was taken about seven years ago. Here is what I learned about the phtotgrapher in the eight minutes we were on the phone.

 

He only sleeps 2-3 hours a night

He lifts weights when others are sleeping

He has a 5,000 square foot home with eight bedrooms

He is very open to bartering

He still has a 28 inch waist and has built up to a 42 inch chest measurement

His wife was his representative for 19 years; he later fired her

He is set for life, really, with no need to work any longer

He is a reasonable man

He fired up his juicer with carrots, ginger and tomato to make his lunch today

He regards the alkaline/acidity ratio in one's body to be important

He thinks that Homewood is a fine suburb

He owns a Shelby (which I assume is a car) and he has driven it through my town before

He is not looking to get a lot of money out of this

He publishes a newsletter called Muscleheads, which is distibuted electronically

He recently switched from Entourage to MacMail

Many of his competitors have retired or died

 

I want to hear a lot more from this guy, naturally.  I will be posting the photo he called about later today.
